Tour Overview
This exciting tour will take us through the most impressive and amazing landscapes of the region. During this full day adventure trip, we will explore the wonderful Rainbow Mountains, where we will discover the incredible variety of tones and textures found in nature. Our tour begins early in the morning, where we will meet our expert and friendly guide who will accompany us at all times. From there, we will head towards the impressive mountains, where we will be able to enjoy panoramic views and incredible landscapes.
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco - Cusipata - Rainbow Mountain - Cusco
We will pick you up from your hotel around 4:30 am. and depart on a trip south for 2 hours once we arrive to Cusipata, we will have a hearty continental breakfast. Then we will travel for 1 hour more to the beginning of the hike, our hike follows a beautiful stream, you will be surprised by a herd of alpacas. We will have consistent views of the Ausangate mountain, walk through the villages and interact with local residents.
Back on the trail, we encounter more of the traditional elements of this trek, including potato fields and unique wildlife. We have the chance to see chinchillas and vicuñas, vicuñas are the only non-domesticated animal of the llama family in Peru. After a hike of approx. 1:30 minutes, we will finally arrive at our destination, what we came to see the 7-colored Mountain. Afterwards you will have time to explore the area, you will have time to take pictures and immerse yourself in the environment, we will spend approx. 1 hour at the top.
