Full Itinerary
Day 1: Maras - Moray - Salt Mines
Our day begins with a visit to the Inca weaving center in Chinchero, after this tour we head to the main square of the community of Maras, where the staff of Maras Adventures awaits with full ATV equipment, such as gloves, helmets, etc.. Here we will provide all the necessary information about the proper use of the ATV, we will also describe the route to cross, culminating this brief orientation, we will begin our journey towards Moray, accompanied by an experienced instructor, in Moray we will have enough time to visit the circular terraces that were built in huge natural depressions, where the Incas used for scientific research in agriculture..
The surprising thing is the difference in the average annual temperature between the top and bottom of the terraces up to about 15°C, then we will go to The famous salt mines, which are made up of about 4000 small pools on the mountainside, where people fill the pools with salt water flowing from the mountain during the dry season, watering must be done every 3 days, so that When the water evaporates, the salt it contains slowly solidifies, to obtain a salt production every 30 days.
