Full Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco - Pisac - Ollantaytambo - Chincheros - Cusco
Pisac market and ruins
The town of Pisac is an important archaeological site in the Cusco region, there is a colorful market on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Here we experience a vibrant atmosphere of communities, traditions and bartering. There are many handicrafts and textiles made in true pre-Columbian style to buy.
Ollantaytambo Ruins
In this most beautiful strategic place, 60 km from Cusco, where the Inca Pachacutec built his fortress of Ollantaytambo. It is a beautiful setting and the surrounding hills hide some of the most impressive ruins in the Valley. It contains structures such as the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Hall, the Incahuatana and the Princess’ Baths.
Chincheros
Here you will find the remains of what was once the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, as well as a beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations. There is also a Sunday market here, although it attracts fewer tourists than Pisac.
