Meet Our Founder

Born in the Andes, Raised to Guide You

Founder of Bioglamping Expeditions

I didn’t grow up visiting the Andes. I grew up being shaped by them. Born in a small Indigenous village in Peru’s Sacred Valley, my childhood wasn’t about sightseeing – it was about living in deep connection with the land. The mountains were my teachers. The rivers carried our history. Pachamama – Mother Earth – was not a story. She was part of everyday life.

More Than a Guide – A Bridge to Something Real

I later became a professional trekking guide, working with international companies and leading travelers from around the world along famous routes like the Inca Trail and Salkantay. People came for adventure, but what they were really searching for was something deeper: a real connection, a meaningful experience, something they could feel – not just see. And I realized something powerful: the more crowded the trail, the further you get from the real Andes.

Why I Created Bioglamping Expeditions

I created Bioglamping Expeditions to protect something sacred – and share it the right way. It is for travelers who want more than a checklist trip. It’s for those who want to go deeper, step off the crowded paths, and experience the Andes with purpose. Every journey directly supports local communities, respects ancestral traditions, and honors the land. You won’t just pass through villages – you’ll share real moments with the people who live there.

“The Sacred Valley is not just a destination. It is my home. It is my culture. It is my responsibility. If you are ready for more than just a vacation, I invite you to experience Peru in a way most travelers never will.”

Ahead of the crowd and thorough. My wife and I truly enjoyed the journey Ruben took us on through the Sacred Valley. He was extremely informative, patient and accommodating. We will remember the tour for a long time. Also, Ruben really was ahead of the crowd as he took a route that got us to most of the sites before the crowds formed. So much nicer without the crowds. Thank you Ruben for a wonderful day.

Unforgettable experience thanks to David Condori Having David as my guide back in October was the best experience of my life. David made sure to make a connection with every guest, and I was lucky enough to become good friends with him. He is so fun and youthful, but can also lock in and be serious while spreading his wonderful knowledge about the Inca’s and Peru’s rich history. 10000/10 experience

Great Salkantay 3 night trip to Machu Picchu If your looking for a guide for the Salkantay trek, David is your guy!! We did the hike with him in April 2025 (3 nights track) and it was honestly the highlight of our hole trip. David is so knowledgeable about the mountains and really looked after us the entire time. He's such a genuine person and made the hike feel like we were just out with a friend who happens to know everything about the mountains. Make sure you are somewhat fit as the track is partly challenging due to the height.

Awesome guides This review is a little bit delayed but we are writing it for David, who is an amazing and caring guide. He looked after someone in our group that was unwell and then once he had helped them return he trooped on and still gave us his all. Cheers David!

You couldn't ask for a better guide! I went on a 5 day trek on the Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu as part of a 4 week expedition with school. I was lead teacher. How lucky were we to have Ruben as our guide! Firstly, he is such a lovely soul and so easy to get along with. Safety was always his priority and we never felt out of our comfort zone. He knows the area like the back of his hand, and his knowledge of the local flora and forna is second to none. Also, he is an accomplished musician, and whipped out a homemade flute which he played along a trail one day. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended.

Salkantay trek with David I had such an incredible once in a lifetime experience doing this 4 day salkantay trek with David as our tour guide. The views were absolutely astonishing and we had such good fun as a group. We all really enjoyed the challenge and David was there every step of the way to help us and encourage us. David was so kind, friendly and knowledgeable throughout the whole trip - he really helped to make the trip as amazing as it could be and we all really appreciated his efforts.

Laguna Humantay with the best tour guide! I thoroughly enjoyed the Humantay Lake tour with David! The tour actually began the night before, as David called to make sure each passenger felt comfortable and prepared for early pick up the next morning. This especially meant a lot to me as a female solo traveler. The tour was excellently executed and ran very smoothly. After arriving by car to the base of the mountain, we began the lovely hike. David went out of his way to teach us about the animals and plants we went past, as well as telling us about Incan history. He even gave us the opportunity to participate in a small thanksgiving to Pachamama with stones next to the lake. The hike itself was manageable, especially with his expert guidance and flexibility if we needed assistance. And it was so worth it for the stunning view of the lake in the mountains! We were given the perfect amount of time and freedom to admire the scenery at the top and take pictures before heading back down. I highly recommend visiting Laguna Humantay for a day trip with a mix of nature and history/culture, and I recommend booking it with David. Thanks for a great experience!
